The best and most important step in the way of how to wake up early in the morning  is to sleep early. Lets except the fact that to sleep early is a bigger challenge than to wake up early, but if do so be sure to half of your job is done. Obviously it is easier to wake up at 6:00 AM if you sleep at 10:00 PM than who goes to sleep at midnight. Since the rise in melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone that governs our sleep. The amount of higher melatonin allows up to sleep faster and more deeply. This is the signal by the body that it is looking for the rest now. Scientists have shown that it is easier to sleep 10:00 PM than at 1:00 PM, as the melatonin levels begin to drop , higher the melatonin levels easier it is to sleep well and better. So even nature wants you to sleep early, now you could argue that why do not I feel sleepy at 10:00 PM. Well that is because of these gadgets interfere our natural sleep tendency. If you want to try the method just switch off the gadgets,  turn off the lights and lay down. The idea is not to stimulate the mind but to calm the mind. It can be done by

  1. reading a light book.
  2. listening some soulful music in dim lights.
  3. You can also fill your room with some amazing fragrances such as lavender, sandalwood, chamomile and jasmine.
  4. You can also take a cold shower.
  5. Manage your feet with sesame oil.
  6. You can also meditate before going to sleep.
  7. Do some breathing exercises.
Anything that calms your mind is conduced. You can also set an alarm before the time to sleep. Just like preparation is the key to success in the examination preparing your body for sound sleep is essential.

2. Go to bed early.

Now to sleep early you need to go to bed early and for that to happen. You have to have your dinner early,  keep it light do not overeat if you do so or eat unhealthy food you are reducing your chances to wake up early in the morning. Have you noticed when you overeat at a party even though your sleep time is the same you will feel much more resistance to wake up early. The reason behind this is a lot of energy is wasted in digesting the food you eat. There are some food that will help you sleep better and faster.

Few thing you can do before going to sleep which will help you sleep better such as -

  • Taking luke warm cow milk 30 minutes before going to sleep tops the list.
  • You can add sleep herbs like ashwagandha, saffron, nut meg, turmeric or cinnamon to milk to enhance the effect as per your liking.
  • Avoid having coffee or tea after 5pm.
  • Even you should avoid working out late in the night it can disturb your sleep cycle.
  • Living in the northern hemisphere due to earth's magnetic pull it is advised not to sleep keeping the head towards north, east is the best direction for us to sleep.
  • Sleep on the left side it promotes digestion.
These small thing will definitely help you to wake up early, easily andbwith a boost in energy.

3. Prepare your mind.

Preparing your mind in waking up early is an unbelievable step. By this step if you have to wake up at 6:00 am you will wake up just before the time. How does this happen?
This is because consciously or unconsciously you were preparing your mind to wake up at 6:00 am else you would have missed the time. Do you remember our mother used to say at what time you want to wake up just tell the pillow the time want to wake up. What they mean was to consiously feed your mind the time you want to wake up. You can also verbally speak it 5 to 10 times before sleeping. If you think it is a bit silly you are underestimating the power of sub conscious mind.
But when there is a flight to catch, what's here is something that you don't want to miss this brings us to the next step. This brings us to the next step.

4. Why

Give yourself a valid reason to wake up early which you don't want to miss. It can any reason for example you can tell yourself as

  • I have to workout in the morning.
  • I have to go to a morning walk for health benefits.
  • I want to have pure oxygen which i can get in the morning.
  • I have to do YOGA.
  • I have to study as we all know morning is best time to do so.
Giving yourself a reason to wake up would give you a task to complete similarly as when someone ask you to play in the morning, you easily wake up. But if someone ask you to wake up for no good reason, you will keep sleeping. And now everything comes to a toss when the time is arrived and the alarm is ringing and you don't want to wake up. So how to overcome this situation.

5. Conquer the first 10 minutes

Some has clearly said beginning is always the toughest. So whenever you set an alarm just put your mobile or alarm clock little far from you so that when it rings you have to stand up and then do not go to bed it will be more difficult to wake up, just wait for 10 minutes you will feel less sleepy and in those 10 minutes if it is hard for you to wake up just do some practice of

  • Rubbing your palms and put then on your eyes.
  • Wash your face with cold water.
  • Go to kitchen to warm water which is beneficial to health.
  • You can also go to the balcony so that the cool breeze will wake you up.
This is how your 10 minutes would easily passed and you would feel awaken.
You may feel less energetic on the first day but do not give up and don't sleep in the afternoon. In fact it will help you to sleep early the next day. And in few days you will automatically fell the rhythm and also try to sleep at the same time every day.
