Diet plan to recover faster from CORONA VIRUS

 



In this pandemic we all have understood the importance of our immunity system and how crucial it is for us to boost our immunity system. So if you or any of your friend, relative or colleague recently tested positive for covid-19 or if you want to take some extra precautions this diet plan for recovery of covid-19 patients will certainly help you the most to stay immune and to recover faster.

So in this blog I will share with you some amazing meals which will not only be delicious but also be very health as per your requirements. When someone recently tested positive for corona virus than he or she must eat something along with Medicine which is healthy, nutritious and full of the ingredients that helps to recover rapidly and that kills the virus.

The diet will be light and nutritious that will provide you a shield like immunity and it will also strengthen your lungs.

I will be giving you sufficient options from the time you wake up in the morning till time you sleep at night so that you will not get bored with same food again and again. So bring as pen and a paper and jot it down.

1. When you wake up in the morning




In the morning the symptoms like cough and cold are at its peak so the first thing should consume is  a glass of mild water as it will act like an antidote for cold and cough and your throat will also feel better. Then you can go and get freshen up.

Along with this you can also practice some of the breathing exercises or Pranayam such as




  • Anulom- vilom
  • Kapalbhati
  • Jalandhar bandh
  • Brahmari

Doing this your lung capacity will also increase and you can also do it in an open space.

2. Morning drink




Many of you might love to have a cup of coffee or tea as a morning drink but I will suggest you kaadha (decoction) which we all know is how much beneficial and how much it is miraculous to get relief from cough and cold.

Recipe: Bring a glass of water into a pan and add 10-12 leaves of Tulsi, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, and let it boil till it remains ¼ of the quantity and after serve it into a glass and then let it get cool little bit then add honey/sugar into it.

You can also have Giloy juice which is also beneficial to boost immunity but the only caution that you have to take care is do not consume anything after having Kaadha or Giloy juice at least for an hour.

3. Breakfast





For breakfast you must eat something which is nutritious as well as easy to digest.

You can choose your breakfast according to your choice amongst

  • Besan ka cheela along with pudine ki chutney since besan(gram flour) has a tendency to prevent cold and cough amongst all the other grains and mint leaves are good for lungs and together it is a power packed meal.
  • Multi vegetarian dalia
  • Moong dal dosa
  • Homemade vegetarian oats
  • Moong dal sprouts



These food recipes among the options will make you enjoy the quarantine time easily without being bored.

Caution:

  • Just add few spices into the breakfast for easy digestion. Like ginger, cumin seed, lemon, black pepper.
  • Avoid milk product for breakfast and stay away from curd, paneer, butter
  • Do not over eat anytime


You can drink some warm or hot water after 1½ hour to stay hydrated and to help digestion.

4. Lunch time




You can choose any vegetable among these

  • Beet root
  • Capsicum
  • Pumpkin
  • Bitter guard
  • Apple guard
  • Ridge guard
  • Bottle guard
  • And all the green leaves vegetables



You can enjoy any of these vegetables along with Missi roti(chapatti ) since it is a combination of Besan(gram flour ) and wheat flour. If you are fond of eating rice then you can also eat Dal (gram) along with semi brown rice.

Caution: Avoid kidney beans and Urad dal(black gram).



Then drink a glass of warm or hot water again after 1½ hour of lunch.

5. Snack

Now you have to consume less so you can prefer

  • Moong dal water
  • 4 dates with ginger + mint tea
  • Small bowl of Chana(chickpeas) chaat

6. Dinner



Dinner is the most important meal of the day and this time is crucial because the COVID-19 symptoms are on its peak at this time and if you will eat some wrong food than everything which you did the whole day will be ruined so you need to remember that you have to

  • Eat early and by early I mean 7-8 o‘clock
  • Eat healthy
  • Eat light 

There are a few options of food recipe that you can make at dinner.

As your dinner should be light so you can prefer soups

  • Chickpea soup
  • Mix vegetarian soup lauki (bottle guard) soup
  • Moong dal khichdi
  • Vegetable dalia

These were the food items that you should prefer including in your dinner during home quarantine but you might be curious about

What not to eat at this particular time? These items include

  • Fruits
  • Juice
  • Salad
  • Coconut water
  • Non vegetarian food
  • Refined sugars
  • Packaged food
  • Refrigerated food


If you will consume these food items into your dinner than it will be easier for the virus to beat your immune system.

7. Before going to sleep




Now this is the time when you can cold and cough may arise some problems for you so you can have a glass of Turmeric milk along with mixing cinnamon, black pepper, cardamom, cloves into it which will help you to respire easily and also improve your immune system.

There are some more things that you can absolutely try such as

  • Stay hydrated
  • Eat only homemade food
  • Be aware of the portion that you eat
  • Limit the intake of salt and sugar
  • Limit you fat intake
  • Eat enough fibers
  • Don’t do alcohol and smoking till the time you finish your quarantine.

So if you feel like you have some symptoms causing corona or if recently got tested positive for covid-19 than definitely try these recipes for 14 days and believe me you beat the virus very shortly.
